3D Vision And Vision Issues

With movies like Avatar, How To Train Your Dragon and a whole host more due to come out in 3D this summer, many people have had problems with ocular discomfort and/or dizziness during and after viewing these movies.

Having a problem like that may or may not signal a vision problem or condition, but if you have experienced any undesirable side effects from watching one of the new 3D movies, you should consider having an eye examination to insure that all is indeed Ok with your eyes and visual system.

The American Optometric Association has put out a very good public education piece which can be accessed via this link.

I hope you are able to enjoy the upcoming run of great weather. If you have had any allergy symptoms lately, be sure to let us take a look at the cause and help you recover quickly and without any unwanted longer term issues.

The Really Fun Part Of What I Do….

Last night I had a “man I’m really getting old” moment.  One of my long time patients was in the office and mentioned that he’s expecting the birth of his first child next month.  After congratulating him, it hit me…..   I’ve been taking care of this guy since he was 9 years old and he’s having his own child!

Then today I open up the local paper (Ok, I was reading it on my iPhone) and see that one of my patients is the athlete of the week!  What a great thing to see, someone that I take care of is now excelling in her favorite sport.

I’ve known for years that these situations happen all the time, but its one of the great things about being part of a community for almost 20 years.  My patients are my friends and neighbors…….

Back to my mocha at Dunn Brothers and more work……
